Mijas
is just so beautiful.
Having stopped at
my favourite pottery shop, we took a wander off the rather touristy main road,
into the residential area, it’s completely charming.
We then made our way along a little path with
the most panoramic views to the coast.
We finally ended up at Oscars Tapas bar, the same place we visited last
year. Once again we had a lovely meal
there.
After supper we bought some
churros and chocolate at a little shop for dessert – paid a ridiculous price
and they weren’t that wonderful
unfortunately, the ones we had in Barcelona were far better. We then did a spot of shopping - yay!
Paula cried some tears over a muzzled donkey (de-ja-vu…I can remember Paula crying her eyes out in Mijas, over a hot and bothered horse, last year!) Although I don’t physically cry, I’m in complete agreement with Paula. The only thing I don’t like about Spain is the treatment of the horses and donkeys (and of course the poor, poor bulls). Most of the towns seem to have horses/donkeys waiting about in the baking hot sun to lug cart-loads of tourists about. I really hate it, it makes my heart ache.
And then it was back to the resort and bed!
