First up on the agenda was finding a little coffee shop (due to my dodgy bladder we spend an awful lot of time finding little coffee shops…. more for their toilet facilities than their coffee…Grant, Paula and Cal show admirable patience and drink an unacceptable amount of cokes/coffee thanks to my bladder!)
Having had our coffee, we had a lovely wander through the market. There were lots and lots of stalls selling everything from fake designer handbags to bras, strawberries to olives. And nuts. We’ve seen lots of vendors selling freshly caramelised nuts on this holiday. Grant generally buys a punnet of these delicious nuts and then takes great delight in inviting us to “nibble on his nuts”. Never a dull moment…
Having
nibbled on Grant’s nuts, we stopped at an outdoor restaurant for something to
drink. Yummy sangria for me! You’ve just
got to love a place that serves its sangria in great big beer mugs!
We then went and found a couple of geocaches,
before making our way to a nearby supermarket.
I wish we’d left more time for the supermarket, I love browsing around supermarkets in different countries. Unfortunately this time we had just enough
time to buy the groceries we needed for the next couple of days before catching
our bus back to the resort.
Lunch
was….wait for it….. bocadillos on the
verandah! I just love sitting on the verandah, eating lunch and staring at the
beautiful, beautiful Mediterranean sea…. I know there are days in the not too
distant future when I will be longing
for this place, this view.
Grant and
Cal are both battling horrible colds, so what they needed was a dose of cold medication
and a good long nap this afternoon.
After
spending some time up at Zachary’s blogging and skyping this evening, we had a
late pizza supper. We are all struggling
with our body clocks as the sun only sets at 9:30pm, we are finding that we
naturally go to bed later and get up later.
The full moon over the sea tonight was well worth staying up for!
