Once we arrived in Marbella the guide walked with us into the Orange Square in the centre of the Old Town. We were then left to our own devices and I immediately suggested that we “find a little coffee shop”. The Old Town area of Marbella is very appealing.
We took a short wander through it, en-route to finding a geocache in a nearby park.
We then wandered to an amazing park called “Calvary Park” that has markers depicting the “stations of the cross” culminating at a lovely little Hermitage right on the top of the hill. It would be an awesome place to celebrate Easter!
Unfortunately we couldn’t find the geocache hidden there, although Grant and Cal really gave it their best shot.
We then strolled down to the promenade area. Although Marbella is known for celeb-spotting (David Beckham, Sean Connery and various other famous faces own homes in Marbella) – we didn’t see any celebs there, but we did meet a cute little Jack Russell who made me miss my Jackie-dog something fierce!
We had a light lunch in a little café along the promenade and then found a pharmacy to get some cough mixture, our men-folk are very snotty and coughy at the moment. I managed to buy a pair of shoes at the pharmacy! Then it was time for our bus back to the resort and a spot of siesta-ing.
After a drink and some computer time at Zachary’s we headed back to our unit and… gasp… cooked supper, watched some TV and headed to bed.
